History was made yesterday when Barack Obama accepted the Democratic party Nomination as it’s candidate for President. A milestone in American His-story! The seed of his historic journey was planted long before yesterday. That seed was Loved and Nurtured along the way by those who were placed along his life path to help him get to this point. It is foolish to think he has done this on his own. He has made choices and those choices have led to those he has surrounded himself with during his journey.
His rise to the top has equaled the shock heard round the world when Ali defeated Sonny Liston to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World. Well Obama has done likewise to the Clintons in a different forum/or arena, American Politics.
He has chosen a path reminiscent of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. There is no need to go further as to the impact these two American left behind, but we will always often wonder how things may have been.
Just because we don’t have the same views or agree with someone, isn’t a valid reason to NOT Pray for someone. In All actuality we should pray more for them.
So regardless of your Political affiliation, I am Asking you to Pray for Barack & Michelle Safe Journey to the Destination which allows us to witness all that he is capable of without interruption and the words stating of what he might have been. If it’s God’s will, let it be.
America is still full of Hate just on the issue of one’s color. The sad part is there are more people of color who hate each other today than did so in the ’60’s.
Regardless of how that journey ends, he has already spread thousands if not millions seeds of a new found Hope for many who want to see a different America. As with MLK, he may not get to the Mountain top physically, but his spirit has already risen to the heights that God has intended!

Katrina unfortunately Happened for a Reason, a Wake Up Call! As usually with mankind, we tend to fall back into the same bad habits. Let Us Also Pray for those who live in this city as a possible storm of the same magnitude head toward it’s shores. The name Katrina doesn’t equal New Orleans, It Identifies that whole Gulf Coastal Region, from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi to Florida! There are many amongst us who still have relatives in this region. May God Cover and Protect them All!
