LIFE CHANGES

Posted: under "A Slice Of Life".

Even the most pleasurable experience can become dull and unpleasant if it continues on and on with no end. Even the most magnificent surroundings can feel like a prison if you’re unable to take a break from them.
Life thrives on variety and change. When you keep yourself stuck in a rut, no matter how satisfying that rut may be, it gets old and can be very draining.

When you’re constantly fighting against change, even if you succeed in keeping things the same you render yourself unable to enjoy them. Because you’re always worried that they will not last.

When, on the other hand, you accept that change is part of life, you will enable yourself to enjoy and to fully live every moment you’re in. You’ll also be able to look more confidently and enthusiastically toward the future instead of dreading it.

Yes, with change there is risk, yet there is also enormous opportunity. Change gives life richness and meaning, and makes possible all sorts of achievements that no one has yet even considered.

Embrace and celebrate the dynamic, changing nature of life. And you’ll find each day to be a unique and joyful blessing.

There’s no need for you to strive to be somebody. You are somebody already, with your own unique gifts to offer life.
What a waste it would be to spend your whole life seeking to be someone you’re not. What a true joy it is to spend your moments expressing and fulfilling the authentic person you are.

..

Today is a day to dance your own dance, to sing your own song. Live the joy that is yours to live, and create the beauty that is yours to give.

..

Pay no attention to the fleeting, superficial vision of success that the world seeks to sell you. Build a success that has real meaning for you by being true to who you are.

..

Most of the disappointments you’ve experienced have been the result of striving to follow someone else’s dream. Let go of the need to do that, and feel the freedom, the amazing

PLACE OF TRANQUILITY

Posted: under Inspirationals.

You may find yourself in a tranquil space emotionally today and want to seek a quiet and restful setting to enjoy feeling peaceful. Think about what gives you a sense of peace. It may be an outdoor setting that makes you feel in touch with nature, such as a garden or the beach. You may find that art stills your mind, so the silence of a museum is comforting to you. Or perhaps music acts as a filter for the sounds of the world, creating beauty that gives you comfort. There may even be a particular room in your home or in a building that is dedicated to spiritual pursuits and allows you to experience stillness and contentment. Wherever your spirit leads you today, allow yourself to fully experience the peace and tranquility within.

We may find ourselves in the midst of activity for much of the day, making it difficult to separate ourselves. In that case, we can find a symbol to remind us of a peaceful place to allow our thoughts to take us there. Perhaps a flower or a stone will remind us of a garden, a shell could give us a chance to listen to the ocean, or a photograph or representation of art can take us to another place. In the space of a deep breath, we can shift our thoughts to imagine a place that brings us peace and feel it within us. However you can today, find a way to enjoy the timelessness of peace and tranquility, whether for a moment or for the day.

What do you think?

CRUSADING FOR RIGHTS

Today your humane sentiments could have you crusading for the rights of the disenfranchised. You may be feeling righteous as you argue and fight for what you believe is right. While you work to bring about change on a large scale, take the time to examine what might have brought about the situation as it currently stands. Knowing the history and the background of the people involved may make it easier to see specific changes that need to be made in order to bring about a major shift. Today while taking action to bring about change, you also seek understanding of the causes that created the need for transformation.

Situations that have a long history may deeply affect the consciousness of the people involved, perhaps for several generations. Since each generation learns from their parents, if the parents were oppressed, they will teach the beliefs of the oppression to their children. Whether the oppressor was a physical entity or an ideology, people’s ideas

some difficulty while flying from Montego Bay to Kingston and was about
to crash. There were 5 passengers on board but alas, only 4 parachutes!!!

The 2nd passenger, Portia Simpson-Miller says, “I am the new leader of the
People’s National Party and a first female Prime Minister, I must live!!”
So she takes the 2nd pack and jumps out of the plane.

The 3rd passenger, Percival Patterson, says “I’m the past Prime Minister
of Jamaica. I was the cleverest Prime Minister in Jamaica’s history, so the
Jamaican people won’t want me to die.” So he grabs the pack next to him and
jumps out of the plane.
