Ten angels walk beside me, each and every day.
Ten angels help to guide me, to give comfort and protect.
They have been my companions since I was very young.
*)*)*)*)*
Now you ask me, “Why ten?
Do you think you are special?
Why not one, or two, or three?
Why ten?
Surely you don’t need so many.”
* * *
Well, each and every angel has a special job to do.
Yes, it seems that even angels specialize.

All of us know
Faith, Hope and Charity.
They are wonderful angels, and all so overworked! Read More

We need our friends for many reasons,
No matter what the day or season…

We need friends to comfort us when we are sad,
And to laugh with when we are glad!
+=+=+
We need friends to give us good advice,
Someone we can count on to treat us nice.

If I call you friend,
You will always share a piece
of my heart.
I will always pride myself,
To always be true to you.
As much as I need friends,
So must you.
…
I will also share a place in your heart,
To be there whenever you need me.
I may not be there in flesh,
But I will always be there in spirit.
…
I will cope with your moods,
And try to understand your needs.
…
When you are angry,
I will laugh with you.
As sadness overwhelms you,
We will cry together.
…
If you feel down and kicked,
I will pick you up
and brush away your doubts.
…
When you think you can’t continue,
I will remind you that you can.
…
As you become discouraged,
I will boost your ego high.
…
At times when you wish to talk,
my attention will be all yours.
…
Being a friend I don’t take lightly,
It’s my desire, never a chore.
…

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we’ll be more content when they are.
..
After that, we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation,or when we retire. .. Read More

Eric Hogue
A determined caller asked, “What can I do to be missional in my neighborhood?”
I love questions that seek to create opportunities to share the simple ‘love’ of Jesus. So I offered a quick list of suburbia ideas for the caller to consider for her ‘neck of the Northern California suburbia woods’.
I’ve always felt awkward when I’m resting at a stop light, trying not to look at the homeless panhandler (Icon of God) out my driver’s side window. I know, I know…”they do this as a scam to make easy money off of guilt ridden passers-by.” I don’t care. I want to meet a need, and I want to do it cheerfully and loving. Read More

INSIGHT
Faith is the operative ingredient in the Christian life. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (v. 6). Faith is important because without it we cannot even begin to approach God. Simply put, faith is believing God and acting accordingly. All that is accomplished in
