Today’s message:
“After”

I, like most of you throughout the world, am worried.
Everyday brings more gloomy news about the financial
future of every country on Earth.
I woke up this morning and decided that I need to take
my focus off of now and look to what’s ahead. I have
been down and desperate many times in my life. I
have been lost and out of control. But every time
something bad happened it always ended up good.
So it got me thinking about what things will be like
“after” we get back up on our feet again.
After the down there’s always an up.
After the leaving there’s a return.
After the rain you always find the sun.
After the pain there is joy.
After the trip there may be a fall, but after the fall there’s
a stand up.
After the end is a new beginning.
After the stop there’s a go.
After a sunset is always a rise.
After the night there is day.
After the clouds there are always blue skies.
After the door closes another one opens.
After a wrong there’s a right.
After the loss there’s a win.
After the sad there’s happy.
So…here’s the poet in me…
No matter what you are going through
or how much you hurt,
I want you to know
what’s ahead.
There’s always an after
that follows before
and eternity after you’re dead.
Smile!
We’ll get through this together.
