There are too many in today’s America that mix their disdain for the President with those who serve daily at home and abroad. The Reality Check is that, if it were not for these men and women we would always be thinking twice about leaving home each day as well as those who still have children at home to send them off to school. It would almost be like living in a home with no walls, which I think most sane people would be very uncomfortable with.

If you ask the average 10 yr old who is plugged into his Ipod or other Mp3 device, about a 45, LP or Cassette, they’ll look at you like you are from another planet. The only reason they don’t know is because no one has taken the time to tell them about those music devices that came before the Ipod. The same is True in honoring our Vets, less and less parades, or TV and Newspaper coverage. More and more schools are skipping to acknowledge this day and that is not a good thing.

Our society teaches our young to Praise and Honor those from the Movie and Music world, rather than the ones who sacrifice their lives that allow us to have that choice. Something missing here!

All that to say, please never fall to being a victim of the Press and not paying some level of Respect to those that allow you not to be under the rule of some other foreign entity. Had these individuals and especially those that came before them not stepped in harms way, many of you would either have never been born, or would be speaking German or some other language. Just facts as is!

Doesn’t mean you condone War, just means that you understand and give due Respect to those willing to die on your behalf so that you may live as Normal a life as you can, and Dream of being whatever you want to be.

For me these individuals who serve are on a smaller scale of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, as they are willing to give the ultimate for others with their own life. So don’t let the day go by to not take the opportunity to pass some information on to future generations within your familia about what this day is about! If not the day will come when no one will step up to defend this nation you call home. Good, bad or Indifferent it is still the country you live in and call home.

So a tip of the Hat to Those who have Served, and especially to their Families who are sometimes left behind! Acknowledge those in Uniform, each and everyday of the year. If not, one day we will wake up to a change in those uniforms that we may not be happy about at all. History is there for a reason, to Teach us, and hopefully to not let us repeat the bad stuff.

Enjoy This Day!
