Christmas always reminds me of the warmth, love and hope that Covenant House brings to homeless youth all year long. It also reminds me how the kids whose lives we touch really have come so far. Tommy is just such a kid.

When he first arrived at Covenant House, Tommy had already learned the meaning of sadness. Abuse, malnutrition, suicide attempts, and foster care defined his young life. When he finally left home, life on the streets seemed better than what he had endured…but he soon realized he couldn’t survive the cold winter alone.
He came to us looking only for a bed and a warm meal, but he found so much more — unconditional love.
