I heard one woman say.

“Oh, I know, but I feel so cheap buying off
the clearance rack,” the other replied.

Of course, being who I am and how I see the
world, I felt it my obligation to join in the
conversation.

“First of all it’s the “thought that counts,”
and secondly discounted gifts don’t make them
any less of a gift,” I said.
