Father's Day Card 05 by EcardWizard.

.

The first way to leave a good legacy is found in Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus.

..

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (NIV, Ephesians 5:25) The translation in The Message says this.

You Have a Chance‏

Hope by Madmoiselle Lavender ♥.

.

Charles Revson, founder of the successful cosmetic manufacturing
firm Revlon, once said, “In our factory we make lipstick. In our
advertising, we sell hope.”

.

We could use a little more hope. I think that is why people buy
lottery tickets. One poor mother, who was raising her children on a
small salary earned from long hours of hard work, was asked, “Why do
you waste your money on a lottery ticket when you can hardly make
ends meet?”

.

“Yeah, I buy a ticket every day,” the woman acknowledged. “But a
dollar is not too much to pay for 24 hours of hope.”

 .

There are probably better uses for her money than buying lottery
tickets. But she would rather hang onto a little hope than onto her
dollar.
.

We need hope. It is a vital ingredient in life. Without it, far too
many people come to the conclusion that they are powerless in the
face of difficulties. “It can’t be helped,” is their motto. Without
hope, they won’t make needed changes. They feel powerless. Without
hope, they will grimly accept the unacceptable and believe that
things are about as good as they will ever get.

. I’ve found that I can either be a prisoner of circumstances or a
practitioner of hope. I can feel sorry for myself and helpless to do
anything about my problems, or I can believe there is a realistic
chance for something better.

. Norman Cousins, in his book Head First, the Biology of Hope,
illustrates the power of hope. He tells of two physicians who were

Surprised
==========

.

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven’s door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.

~. . .~

But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.

~. . .~

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,

Things are to be used but people are to be loved‏

“What most people need to learn in life is how
to love people and use things, instead of using people
and loving things.”

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a
stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man
took the child’s hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was
using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple
fractures. When the child saw his father…..with painful eyes he
asked, ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’ The man was so hurt and
speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.
Devastated by his own actions……sitting in front of that car he
looked at the scratches; the child had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful,
lovely life….. Things are to be used and people are to be loved,
But the problem in today’s world is that, People are used and things
are loved… During this year, let’s be careful to keep this thought
in

What My Dad Taught Me?‏

Nr. 1 Printable Father's Day Card - Close up by e.m.papers.

.

”A Father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you
are.”

–Anon.

.

Father’s Day reminds me of the many reasons I have to thank my
dear Dad.

..
I’m a lucky son… I have one of the greatest dad around. My
father is compassionate, loving and kind. He adores all children
and animals. He tries to see the good in everyone and goes out
of his way to rescue struggling flies from drowning in his
swimming pool.

..
Looking back, I know I received an unusual education from my dad.
Dad had to figure out his place in my life. He grabbed precious
moments, such as the time our basement flooded, to teach me
about water pressure and drainage systems. Dad’s lessons were
unusual, unorthodox, and seemed to have little relevance to my
future — kind of like my bachelor of arts degree.

..
Actually, the more I compare Dad’s teaching and my degree, the
