Attitude
=========

.

The longer I live,

the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

.

Attitude to me is more important than facts.

.

It is more important than the past, than education, than money,
than circumstances, than what other people think, or say or do.

.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.

.

It will make or break a company, a church or a home.

.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the
attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our
past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a
certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

.

The only thing that we can do is to play on the one string we

Friends, family, and fans gathered at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson.

Mariah Carey re-teamed with Trey Lorenz for a rousing duet of the Jackson 5 classic “I’ll Be There.” The duo originally performed the song in 1992 during Mariah’s award-winning “MTV Unplugged” appearance.

Sean Paul was cool and casual in braids, a leather jacket, and shoelace-less kicks, which he said he wore so he wouldn’t trip on the red carpet!

Founding Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett gave Beyonce a run for her money in this sexy number, which she paired with clunky peep toes.

Group dynamics - DSCN0365 ep sm by ericparker

None of you have children/grandchildren who “sag” their pants but maybe you know of someone who does.  This would be a good thing to read at a Youth Program.

.

Letter from a college student

The other day, a friend of mine was visiting me in the lobby of my dorm just to chat while her laundry was drying. As we were chatting, two young freshmen came by. One of the boys wanted to ‘talk’ to my friend (as in date). She asked him how old they were, and both of the boys replied 18. My friend and I both laughed because we are both 22 years old. After my friend left, the young men were still hanging around and one wanted to know how he could gain her interest.

The first thing I told him to do was to pull up his pants! He asked why, and then he said “I liked saggin’ my pants”. I told them to come over to my computer and spell the word saggin’. Then I told him to write the word saggin’ backwards.

We place great emphasis on a narrow idea of physical beauty.
..
In an American history discussion group, the professor was trying to
explain how, throughout history, the concept of “beauty” changes with
time. “For example,” he said, “take the 1921 Miss America. She stood
five-foot-one inch tall, weighed 108 pounds and sported a 30-inch
bust, a 25-inch waist and 32-inch hips. How do you think she’d do in
today’s version of the contest?”
