Eight-year-old Steven was mentally retarded and had many
health problems. His health appeared to be growing worse ever

Sue and Bob, a pair of tight wads, lived in the mid west, and had been married years. Bob had always want to go flying. The desire deepened each time a barn stormer flew into town to offer rides. Bob would ask, and Sue would say, “No way, ten dollars is ten dollars.”

Anansi, Miss Lou and the ‘raw chaw’ argument

silk paper wrapped package:
‘This, he said - isn’t any ordinary package.’
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.

box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house,
his wife had just died. He turned to me and said:
