You Are Beautiful
==================
.

You are beautiful. . .
.
It’s a phrase that my mother uses a lot.
I used to wonder, “How in the world can Mother call them
beautiful?”
.

I am a logical, statistical man.
I call things as I see them.
I didn’t see beauty.
.

My mother would tell people this with an enthusiasm they
could feel. She was genuine. She wasn’t telling them they
were beautiful to get something from them. Most of the
time, they were trying to get something from her.
.

I wondered for years what was wrong with Mother’s perception and
vision. Couldn’t she see that all of the people she called
beautiful, weren’t beautiful?

.

You were beautiful only if you had a certain figure and face
that was classed as beautiful by the laws of the world and
glamour. Yet when my mother spoke, people smiled as though
Glamour magazine had listed them as one of the beautiful people
of the year.
.

It took me years to finally understand my mother’s vision
and the phrase, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
.

My mother had a spirit that could see the beauty in a person.
.Most only look on the outside and then compare what they

The Power of Focus…‏

The power of focus is critical to your success in business…and also in life. I must admit, however, that this is something that took me a while to learn, and I have a few “battle scars” to show what happens to slow learners regarding this issue. “More is better” sounds reasonable, but I’ve learned the opposite is usually true. Less, I’ve discovered, is usually more. The reason, of course, is that there is something powerful about laser-like focus. Having a simple, clearly defined goal can capture the imagination and enthusiasm of your people. It can cut through the night like a beacon. It can bring an idea to life.

Two Pounds of Enthusiasm‏

Anonymous. I’d like to meet that person sometime. Anonymous has come
up with some of the funniest and pithiest expressions I have ever
heard. And he (or is it she?) can also be so deeply profound at
times.Like these words from Anonymous about what enthusiasm can do for us:

“Indifference never wrote great works, nor thought out striking
inventions, nor reared the solemn architecture that awes the soul, nor
breathed sublime music, nor painted glorious pictures, nor undertook
heroic philanthropies. All these grandeurs are born of enthusiasm, and
are done heartily.”

Wholehearted Passion

You may be feeling passionate, which could find you giving your full energy whether playing sports or preparing a party. Your wholehearted enthusiasm for whatever task is before you can make each endeavor into a celebration of life that includes all those around you. Passion is our life force energy on full blast, which is wonderfully enlivening, but also requires balance. It can offer us direction in deciding where to invest our time and energy, but we will also need down time as well. Sometimes passion erupts as anger or turns sadness into despair, but it is the power that creates the hilltop experiences that also come with valleys. Passion gives our lives drama and excitement, but it is not our only source for living life to the fullest. By enjoying your passions, you accept their gifts and live life on full blast for a moment.
