Regrettably,
Keith Stewart of “Keith & Enid fame”, as well as boasting a stellar career as a
cabaret artist on the North Coast back in the 60s & 70s, has passed away. His velvet voice can
be well remembered as he captivated numerous audience at the famous
Yellow Bird club back in the 60s. He was also a good amateur tennis player.
May his soul R. I. P.

This is by far the best I have EVER seen! Whoever put this together deserves an award. This is a keeper, especially for the kids.
Just scroll down to the link and check it out.
It includes the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti . . . . .

One of those strange newspaper stories told of a 19-year-old woman who had been charged in Los Angeles with two counts of
trespassing — after sneaking into the home of actor Brad Pitt and
trying on his clothes. I suppose we have different ways of adoring
our heroes..
.
But who are our real heroes? I was given a little quiz recently. See
how well you do:
.
Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
Name five Olympic gold medalists.
Name the last five winners of your national beauty contest.
Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
Name the last half-dozen Academy Award winners for best actor

“Britain’s Got Talent” contestant Susan Boyle gestures to onlookers in Blackburn in West Lothian, Scotland April 21, 2009
..
Looks like Susan Boyle went shopping.
..
On Tuesday, the famously frumpy Britain’s Got Talent singer, 48, stepped out in a new patterned dress, leather-look jacket and, yes, high heels, the British Daily Mail points out. Her bushy brows have also gone bye-bye.
..
Boyle never ruled out amping up her look ever since she reached international fame for her touching performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables.
“Maybe I’ll consider a makeover later on,” she told the London Times on Saturday. “For now I’m happy the way I am short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. I’m content with the way I look. What’s wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What’s the matter with that?” Read More

You may remember the old Flip Wilson routine when someone asked the
comic about his religion. He answered, “I am a Jehovah’s Bystander.”
“A Jehovah’s Bystander?” remarked his friend. “I never heard of a
Jehovah’s Bystander.”
Flip said, “Well, they asked me to be a witness, but I didn’t want to
get involved.”
In these troubled times, I think Edmund Burke is right. “The only
thing necessary for the triumph of evil,” he says, “is for good men to
do nothing.”
We can complain about injustices, we can lament the suffering of the
world and even feel sorry for the helpless plight of others. Or we can
do what we can, even if it’s only a little.
Theodore Roosevelt read a book by New York newspaperman Jacob Riis
titled HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES. We often think of the “other half” as
living in luxury. The other half are those who are powdered and
pampered. The rich and famous. Movers and shakers.
But the book did not describe the wealthiest few of society. Instead
it described the slums of the city, with all its vice and crime.
Families living in poverty and fear - too afraid to leave their homes
after dark. The other half, said Riis, were the poor among us.
Theodore Roosevelt was moved to action. He went at once to the
