. . . . Black and Has 9-Year-Old
High School-Bound Twins

Paula and Peter Imafidon are just like any other 9-year-olds. They love laughing, playing on the computer and fighting with each other. What sets these twins apart from their peers, though, is that they are, hands down, prodigies who are about to enter high school and make British history as the youngest to do so.
.
The precocious London-based tykes, known as the “Wonder Twins,” floored academics a year ago when they aced University of Cambridge’s advanced mathematics exam. They are the youngest students to ever pass the test.

“Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no
time and effort searching for peace and contentment
and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is
no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving.
Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume
you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops
on yourself.”

Because Nice Matters
==================
.
When I was 20 and still in college, I worked for a large chain
store where jewelry was their main product.
.
At Christmas time, it was understood that when the jewelry
department got busy, and because that’s where the greatest
margin of profit was, that all available employees were to help
with sales in the jewelry ‘pit’.
.
We were all trained to work the counters, but we got a minimum
percentage of commission compared to the regular salespeople’s
salary and commissions. This one evening, the customers were
three deep all around the four sides of the jewelry counters.
.
One by one we served the customers and it finally got to a
manageable group in about two hours. Some of my co-workers were
tired and wanted to go back to their departments. Some were
allowed to leave, but I was asked to stay and finish helping our
customers find the jewelry that they were shopping for.
.
As I was just about to walk my current customer to the registers
so that she could checkout, I caught sight of a VERY large man
in just filthy overalls.
.
He was muddy and he smelled!
.
When I returned to the sales counter, all of the other college
students that were there working were whispering and giggling
and not very discreetly.
.
I asked them what they were whispering about. And they pointed
to the man at my section of the counter. I told them not to be
so mean. He might be able to hear them. I told them to have the
Christmas spirit and be nice. Because Nice matters.
.
They were still giggling as I went to see how I could help him.
When I got to him, he really did smell. It was pretty bad, but
I figured he really wanted something as he had waited a long
time. He thanked me for coming to him and asked to see a
$40,000 aquamarine and diamond ring in the case.
.
Gasps and more giggles exploded from my co-workers when they

“Solace at Sunset”
By Bob Perks
.
Life appears empty sometimes. Times like losing
a job, ending a marriage, loss of a loved one, or
financial collapse.
.
All endings. I guess that’s it. Things that end remain
empty and hard to fill, replace or let go.
.
Then how do you explain sunsets?
.
It is indeed an end to something or many things. The
day ends, the celebration concludes, the band stops
playing, the dance is over, the lights go out and we
“call it a day.”
.
Seems empty to me.
.
Why then do we love sunsets?
.
It seems to go so fast when you don’t want the day
to end and much too slow when you can’t wait for it
to be over.
.
My curiosity asked “How long is a sunset?”
My searching found this answer. Rather factual,

There are great quotes, many of which I love. Then there is what I’ll call timeless wisdom…great thoughts from great leaders who, throughout the ages, have inspired us, encouraged us, and of course, led us to do the right thing.
..
That’s what this wonderful 3 minute movie is all about…timeless wisdom. So just sit back, turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Today’s Message:
“The Boy and the Fish Sandwich”
By Bob Perks
.
I don’t preach. I believe, but I can’t conveniently quote the
Bible when those words would come in handy. I can say
something and mention that I believe it’s ” in there somewhere.”
I even know where to look.
.
It doesn’t make me less Christian, just lazy.
.
Still, God uses me just the way I am. I understand that’s
how the Apostles got their jobs working for Him, too. He
took them “just the way they were.” So, there is hope
for you and I!
.
Every so often I come across something that really strikes
me as incredibly significant. Something that I must share.
So, I struggle to inspire others with hopes that they, too,
will be overwhelmed by it.
.
I have learned that no one is EVER as enthusiastic about
my ideas as I am. I saw a movie once that inspired me so
much that when I got out of my car I was literally jumping
in the air. Someone who saw me thought I won the lottery.
When I explained the movie to them they laughed at me.
I suddenly lost my enthusiasm.
.
But this is significant.
.
You may have heard about Jesus and the loaves and fish.
Great miracle! Terrific story.
