She walked into the room and his eyes lit
up. She didn’t have to say a word, her
being there was proof enough that she loved
him. They had both lost someone they loved.
So this day of all days was a difficult one.
She wanted to make this work. She was hurt,
lonely and afraid. It wasn’t supposed to be
this way.
…
But the fact was he knew how she felt. There
was an obvious pain in his heart, too. So the
one thing that strengthened their love for each
other was heartache, the most sorrowful kind.

DURING a time of intense conflict in my family, I cried out to the Lord, “Where
did we go wrong? Didn’t we go to church, read together, pray and play together,
and do all the things that are supposed to bring and keep families together?
Why can’t we get along when we have you in our lives?” I felt like a failure,
as if somehow I had let down God and my family.

One woman laughs about the time she took her 14-year-old daughter and
her daughter’s best friend to a Peter, Paul and Mary concert. They
were all fans of “oldies” music from the 60’s and 70’s and felt lucky
to get front row seats. When they returned home, her daughter said,
“During the show, we looked back and saw hundreds of little lights
swaying to the music. At first we thought the people were holding up
cigarette lighters. Then we realized that the lights were the

My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, either. But as Helen Keller (who
could neither hear nor see) said, “The greatest tragedy in life is
people who have sight but no vision.” Maybe I should be more concerned
with my vision than with my eyesight.

LADIES!!! Remember…a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.

I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect - ‘in case someone came over’
Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!
NOW, when people visit, I don’t have to explain the ‘condition’ of my home
They are more interested in hearing about the things I’ve been doing while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven’t figured this out yet, please heed this advice.
