Today we are proud to share a chapter from The Power of Attitude by Mac Anderson. In honor of the Olympics, we would like to share a story about an athlete who did not win his event. However, he finished, despite great difficulty…and, as you’ll see, sometimes finishing against great adversity can be a bigger challenge than finishing first. Sometimes, true courage is revealed through completing the race.

.

Please enjoy an inspiring story about Derrick Redmond.

If You’ve Ever Been In Love…

.

Think back (for some of you this will take longer than others) to when you met that man/woman that you just knew would be the one. Remember when you realized/admitted to yourself that you loved him/her. Now remember how much you wanted to act like you were in a movie, and yell to everyone in the football stadium “I love (fill in the name)!!!!” You told family and friends how perfect he was. You told your boys how she was just what you were looking for.

.

Well, I told THE LORD I loved Him today. And He said to me, “How much do you love me? You haven’t told anyone how good I’ve been to you. You haven’t shared how perfect my love is. You haven’t spread the good news that I am always there to listen to your problems. You haven’t told your family how I helped you pay your bills when you didn’t have a high paying job, or how I got you a better one. You didn’t tell your boys

A determined little turtle once climbed a tree. He somehow made it to
the first branch. Then he jumped into the air waving his front legs
and crashed to the ground.
After a while he slowly climbed the tree again. And again he jumped.
This time he flapped all four of his limbs, but still plummeted to the
hard ground.
The persistent turtle tried again and again with the same results. A Read More

Writer Norman Cousins tells about a football game at which a doctor
found himself treating five spectators for stomach disorder. Each
complained of nausea, dizziness and cramps. Upon checking, the doctor
learned that all five had previously consumed soft drinks from the
arena’s concession stands. In the interest of protecting public
safety, an announcement was made to the crowd that it would be wise to
forego drinks in the stadium because certain people were becoming ill.
