Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart…..(in picture….below)

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (10136) by Thomas Becker.

Did you know…?

..

That Joan of Arc was only seventeen when she was riding at the head
of the army that liberated France from the English?

..
That church reformer John Calvin was twenty-six when he published
his “Institutes”?

..
That poet John Keats died when he was twenty-six?

..
That Shelley was thirty when he was drowned, but not before he left
English literature his classic “Odes”?

..
That Sir Isaac Newton had largely discovered the working of the law
of gravitation when he was twenty-three?

..

That Henry Clay, the “great compromiser,” was sent to the United
States Senate at twenty-nine and was Speaker of the House of
Representatives at thirty-four?

..

That Raphael painted his most important pictures between twenty-five
and thirty?

..
That Mozart only lived to be thirty-five years old?

..
Maybe I’m just a late bloomer.

..
When I was a young man I wanted to make things happen. After a few

Jesus on the Cross by ><((>.

.

One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out.  Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, ” I always park there!

..

You took my place!”

..

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down A young
lady from the church approached him and stated, “That ‘ s my seat! You took my place!”

..

The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

..

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, ” That ‘ s where I always sit! You took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment,

INSPIRED DIETERS 101

Jesus praying by stumblet777

Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee: and shall say, ‘Destroy them.’

..

It’s strange to think of food as ‘the enemy,’ but that’s the best way to look at it if we want to be effective in our diets. Taking off the pounds is a battle. In every battle we need ammunition. As Christ-ians, our ammunition comes from the Spirit of God that dwells within us all the time. God becomes our fortress; our refuge against the assaults of fattening foods. If we think we can

Who You Are
============

I find myself on the downhill slide of yet another trial in my
life where confusion seemed to be the only thing I was sure of.

Who, what, why, when, how, and how long were the questions I
didn’t have answers for.

.

Last night, I sat quietly and instead of asking,
I just listened.

God whispered to me.

.

Who I am is a child of His.

Sunset from Rick's Cafe by elen_uska_8.

“Solace at Sunset”
By Bob Perks

.

Life appears empty sometimes.  Times like losing
a job, ending a marriage, loss of a loved one, or
financial collapse.

.

All endings.  I guess that’s it.  Things that end remain
empty and hard to fill, replace or let go.

.

Then how do you explain sunsets?

.

It is indeed an end to something or many things.  The
day ends, the celebration concludes, the band stops
playing, the dance is over, the lights go out and we
“call it a day.”

.

Seems empty to me.

.

Why then do we love sunsets?

.

It seems to go so fast when you don’t want the day
to end and much too slow when you can’t wait for it
to be over.

.

My curiosity asked “How long is a sunset?”
My searching found this answer.  Rather factual,

Today we are proud to share a chapter from The Power of Attitude by Mac Anderson. In honor of the Olympics, we would like to share a story about an athlete who did not win his event. However, he finished, despite great difficulty…and, as you’ll see, sometimes finishing against great adversity can be a bigger challenge than finishing first. Sometimes, true courage is revealed through completing the race.

.

Please enjoy an inspiring story about Derrick Redmond.
